It’s the most wonderful time of the year! And by that I mean holiday themed movies, yeah right we know they all suck so let’s give you a great alternative to those dorky/ugly/I can’t believe you paid for that Christmas sweaters and silly family tear-jerkers.

Movie theaters have been the place to be of late with Twilight and The Blind Side battling it out for #1 at the box office; well we all know who won that. Yeah, that guy Jacob’s abs are ridiculous – I can’t hate on that. But I digress, since I am the Campus Investor and I love money, I figured I’d give you my top 10 $$$ related movies that you can rent and watch at home. Let me know what you think; agree, disagree?

Top 10 Money Related Movies

10. Ocean’s Eleven – The old school version with Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. or the new ones with Clooney and Pitt, take your pick they’re both classics about gambling, theft and cash.

Memorable Quote:

Danny Ocean (George Clooney): I’m not sure what four nines does, but the ace, I think, is pretty high.

9. The Color of Money – Long time pool hustler “Fast Eddie” played by Paul Newman takes a young and cocky Tom Cruise as his protégé. The two have a falling out and soon find themselves facing off in a big tournament in AC. Newman got an Oscar for this one. The pool scenes are pretty damn cool also.

8. Office Space – A cult classic and one of Jennifer Aniston’s first flicks. We all wish we could not care about work just like Peter did and have the two Bobs come in and just adore us. Oh well, let me dream….the lesson I learned from this one was that if you’re going to steal millions from your company, make sure you burn the building down right after.

Memorable Quote:

Milton Waddams: Excuse me, I believe you have my stapler…

7. Risky Business – The perfect high-school business plan, open up a brothel in your house while your are parents away. For you ladies out there, enjoy the Tom Cruise rocking out in his tighty-whities scene.

Memorable Quote:

Miles (Curtis Armstrong): Joel, you wanna know something? Every now and then say, “What the fuck.” “What the fuck” gives you freedom. Freedom brings opportunity. Opportunity makes your future.

6. Glengarry Glen Ross – This flick is full of A-List actors and quoted frequently in Boiler Room, if you plan on selling anything in your career see this movie! It truly portrays how tough it is to sell real estate, this was in 1992, I can’t imagine what it must be like now.

Memorable Quote:

Blake (Alec Baldwin): A-B-C. A-Always, B-Be, C-Closing. Always be closing, always be closing.
