Apple Unveils iPad

Alright so remember the days of going to class with a ton of textbooks? Yeh there pretty much over now that the mastermind Steve Jobs introduced another insanely cool product. You’ve gotta hand it to Jobs, he knows how to pull off a product event unveiling better than any other CEO I’ve ever heard of. So what is this latest iPad any why should you run out and buy one….
Well, first off the iPad does it all, except make phone calls so don’t try to. The iPad has wireless internet capabilities (no more watered down version of the internet from your Blackberry!), you can download any of the 140,000 apps from the AppStore, send emails, look at pictures, watch last week’s episode of Jersey Shore, play video games and oh yeh it’s all touch screen. And yes this device will fit in your handbag’s ladies, its just 1.5 lbs and 0.5 inches thick! Also, for all you studious Campus Socialites out there, the iPad will be able to display tons of college textbooks right out of the box via the iBooks app. Apple has partnered with six major textbook companies across America on this endeavor.

The college textbook industry is a $6 billion business, and I can guarantee you now more and more students will buy an iPad just for the textbook feature. Imagine being able to bring textbook to the library with this slick new device, all the ladies will be all over you fellas. On another note, think how nice it will be to not have to lug around six different books to the library every time you go for an all-nighter.
Many people were skeptical on what Apple was going to be putting out this morning and the hype was absolutely incredible. Former Vice President Al Gore showed up to the event along with scores of other internet bloggers and media outlets. Apple truly showed everyone that they aren’t afraid to push the envelope when it comes to developing products. Say goodbye to the Amazon Kindle & Sony Reader, it was nice knowing you black and white screened gadgets.

Ok now that you want to buy one I’m sure your going to want to know how much its going to cost ya. The pricing table is below and even though you might think this is a little expensive, just remember all the crazy new features this device has. If you’re still set on finding something cheaper, just wait it out. Future versions are sure to have lower pricing points. The device is set to come out in April, just in time for my birthday.
