If you could have your dream tandem DJ gig, who would you spin alongside, where would it be and why?
I would want to DJ with AM at LIV in Miami. AM was an amazing performer and entertainer and LIV in miami is one of the sickest clubs I have ever been to.
What was your most epic DJ experience in college? Where was it and why was it epic?
My most epic DJ experience was when I opened for The White Panda at the KA house at the University of Mississippi. The house reached its capacity of 1,500 early on in the night and it was the first time I was able to showcase myself to such a huge crowd at my University.

What is you favorite genre of music and artist that you include in your sets?
My favorite genre of music is progressive and electro house. I love when songs build up before a hard drop, and I LOVE using effects right before a drop – drawing out the build up for as long as possible is my thang. I always work Chuckie, Laidback Luke, and Avicii into my sets.

Well, since I am DJ Stark Nak3d, I guess my character is a nak3d dj 🙂

If you could mash-up any songs (2 or more) what would they be?
I actually started getting into music production by doing mash-ups, I think at the moment the two songs I would want to mashup would be “I Cook” by Lil’ B and “Flat 55” by Mr. Oizo. The repetition of Lil’ B’s lyrics would mesh perfectly with Mr. Oizo’s beat. Actually, I think I’ll go mash those up right now.
When an NFL Player wins the Super Bowl, he says he is going to Disney Land. If you win the Best Campus DJ Award, where will you go and why?
If I win Best Campus DJ, I will travel the WORLD and spread music to the furthest reaches of this planet.

We threw spontaneous 300 person basement party with a pair of stanton cdjs and some studio monitors. gets rowdy sometimes. also happened every weekend. o the good ol days.

Hmm, well besides mash-ups I already do live I would love mash-up Missy Elliot’s “Work It” with David Heartbreak’s “Hey (Heartbreak Edit)”. Classic hip-hop groove with tropical Moombahton vibes.
What was your most epic DJ experience in college? Where was it and why was it epic?
I suppose the party thrown a couple months ago with “Inkline” and “Horizon Wireless” in Binghamton was the most “epic”. We had the people getting down from 11-5:30am….definitely the most fun party I’ve spun so far.

Spinning along with the great beat boxer Beardyman (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6UzGNiAGeM) in front of a huge packed crowed at the Pool at Harrah’s Casino in Atlantic City. He’s one of the most versatile beat boxers, the sounds that he can make with his mouth are mind-blowing.

I love music that transcends genre. For the most part, I play my own original productions in my sets.

What was your most epic DJ experience in college? Where was it and why was it epic?
Probably when I dropped one of my first self produced songs “Grind It Out” at Bayou in Buffalo and people went nuts. It was about then when I realized I wanted to pursue making my own songs more than just pushing the play button on someone elses.
