Girl opening gifts

It’s crunch time! December is here and although we have the beautiful decorations, the bright lights, the seasonal holiday drinks and the holiday warmth, there’s still traffic to the mall and there’s still a list we need to figure out.

This happens to me every year and it probably applies to everyone else…When December rolls around with all these new gadgets, we have no idea what to buy. It seems to be a reiteration every year. Don’t you wish Santa’s helpers really were around right now?

To help you out, I’ve created a list of 5 gadgets that can be enjoyed by any age group for under 500 dollars.  Keep in mind, each of these gifts can be found under my family’s tree this year, so you know I’m giving you sound advice! (Lets just hope no one from my family decides to be supportive and read this article, the surprise will be given away!)

1. Ipad

Ipad

Apple has done it again. The infamous Ipad is another unbelievable innovation that lures in customers who probably don’t even need the darn thing. They probably ask themselves, “We have the Macbook Pro, we have the Iphone4, do we need this Ipad, too?” Yes.

Let me say that although I am an Iphone user, the Ipad has that “wow” factor that changes the entire game. This product starts off at $500 (with the lowest hardware drive installed), but be sure to put these bad boys on hold since Christmas is fast approaching and there are some crazy mommy shoppers out there.

2. Michael Jackson Dance Game

Michael Jackson Video Game

The Michael Jackson video game, called “Michael Jackson: The Experience,” is the latest dance game for any devoted “Dance, Dance Revolution” gamers. The game, in honor of the pop singer’s death, is available for Wii, Play station 3, Xbox360, and Nintendo DS. This game comes as no surprise since Michael Jackson’s sudden death left the industry many opportunities to build on the singer’s lasting empire. The game ranges from $40 to $50, and can be fun for the entire family after holiday family dinners.

3. iPhone 4

iPhone 4

It should come as no shock to you that Apple products appear twice on this list. The iPhone 4 has better features than previous iPhone models, making it the best phone out there right now (sorry Droid and Blackberry users). The camera is better, its speed is faster, and its clarity is amazing. The iPhone 4 can be purchased for $499 without a contract, and only $199 with an AT&T contract, making it an awesome gift for just about anyone.

4. The Keurig

Keurig model

If you’re not a coffee drinker, you’re may think this gift does not apply to you, but you’re wrong. Keurigs not only make instant coffee, but they also make delicious teas and cappuccinos. For those of you who are coffee drinkers, prepare to indulge, and quickly! You only have to wait one minute for your coffee, and with many different flavors and blends offered, every morning can start off better. You can find a Keurig just about anywhere nowadays, with prices ranging from $130-$170, depending on which type you wish to purchase.

5. Samsung 32″ flat screen TV

Samsung 32 Inch TV

You can never have too many TVs, and right now Samsung is offering a great deal on its new 32″ television. Originally, I thought this deal would not last past Black Friday, but I was wrong. Nearly every electronic-based website still offers the same great deal, along with many commercials on television. You can find this 32″ flat screen for around $330 and surprise anyone with this great gift.

There you have it, my top 5 goodies that you can also find under my family’s tree this year. While I may have purchased these gifts for my family members, I have a feeling I will be using them as well.

One last thing I want to mention to everyone is to have a safe and wonderful holiday, and to please donate to one of your favorite charities or organizations, such as Toys For Tots. It is heartbreaking to hear that New York is having a problem receiving toys to donate to little children…EVERYONE deserves the joy Santa Clause can bring!
