The votes are in, and surprise surprise Lady Gaga is leading the pack with 13 nominations for the MTV Video Music Awards. No word yet on who is performing or even showing up for that matter, but if I know one thing the VMAs always bring the crazy and unexpected. The promos for this year’s awards are still somewhat vague but I’m sure as soon as the September 12th show gets closer the list of attendees and performers will be off the chart.
Last year we had whackjob antics by Kanye to keep us on the edge of our seats as well as Lady Gaga’s ridiculously crazy outfit changes. This year’s show promises to be even bigger than the last. Unfortunately we don’t know who the host of the show will be this year, but when following Russell Brand for the last two years the potential newbie has some funny shoes to fill.
If you go over to MTV’s VMA section you can get a full list of nominations, which for some unknown reason has left Rihanna out of a few categories… it’s ok though, Rihanna knows she’s great! While she is nominated in one of the technical categories ,it’s not the same.
Before we ask ourselves who will take home the coveted moon man here are a few of the best moments (and hilarious) from last year’s VMAs.
