Picture this: hundreds of people, yards upon yards of fresh cut, green grass, thousands of sundresses and cowboy boots, the sun kissing your skin… Picture perfect? I’d say so. If you plan to attend Lonestar Jam 2010, that’s exactly what you’ll get. As a resident of Central Texas for the past few years, I’ve come to notice how Lonestar Jam has made its way into the minds of young adults and collegiates from UTSA, Texas State, and the University of Texas at Austin.  Lonestar Jam, brought to you by Young Texans Against Cancer and Ziegenbock , can best be described as a beer drinkin’, two-steppin’, country-music concert for the best looking Texans around. The gates of Lonestar Jam will open at noon on Saturday, April 24th at Waterloo Park in Austin, Texas. The country music lineup will consist of some of the best our great state has to offer, and you’ll be able to hear them play all night long. Headlining the event we have Eli Young Band featuring Stoney LaRue, Jack Ingram, and Aaron Watson among many, many others.

Although you are not allowed to bring your own alcohol on the premises, plenty of alcohol will be for sale as soon as the gates open on the day of the concert. Attendees are advised to bring blankets, sunscreen, and your ID. Tickets can be purchased online through the event’s website for about $40 a person.  For additional information on how to buy tickets or other artists playing at Lonestar Jam, visit
