Yesterday’s tailgate at Mendota Court concluded the first stop of Blitz & Beatz 2011 and the full-scale invasion of University of Wisconsin. 1,000 students showed up to the pre-game Tailgate and raged all the way up until kick-off. We won’t claim any responsibility for the Wisconsin Badgers’ 51-17 romping of UNLV, but we won’t rule it out either, because by the time we were done, this crowd was out for blood.
After Wednesday night’s “Rave On The Lake,” it’s amazing that Wisconsin students were able to peel themselves off their floors, but in truly epic fashion, everyone showed up at Medota court, ready to do it all again. After giving Wisco a little taste at Memorial Union Terrace, The Chainsmokers put on a full set for all the Mendota ragers. According to their Twitter (@TheChainSmokers), Wednesday was “The most fun impromptu 30 minute set we’ve ever played. These Wisco kids are mental.” They haven’t said anything yet today, but if 30 minutes was good, you can only imagine the All-Out Shit Show that a couple of hours was.

The Wisconsin Basketball team showed up to support the Football team and party with all their loyal fans at the Tailgate. Of Course, they were all rocking their Wisco colors and Dick’s Cottons Shades. In fact, everyone was decked out, head to toe in Badger’s Red. It was either a giant Bloods meet-up or the biggest, most spirited pre-game Tailgate Party University of Wisconsin could have imagined. We’re thinking the latter. Sammy (SAM) also had a big presence, and were a huge help in making the whole thing happen. Shout out to them and all our Wisco reps.
Representing their brand and hooking up the tailgaters with all kinds of perks and free stuff were companies like CampusFood, TagWhat, Xtreme Trips and 1800 AnyLens. CampusFood was all set up with their own booth, giving out free gift cards to students in attendance. If you don’t already know CampusFood, they’re about to make ordering your 2AM Ian’s Pizza a hell of a lot easier. XTreme Trips will be giving away a free Spring Break Trip to one lucky attendee of the Tailgate. Winner will be announced later this week, but even if you don’t win, they’re the cheapest and easiest way to ship you and all your friends to whatever tropical paradise you feel like destroying. 1800 Anylens started the year off right by giving away free tickets to the upcoming Tiesto show in Madison on September 15, check out their Fan Page for a chance to win tickets and get familiar with the best contact distributor around.
