Is there something overtly sexual about a hamburger? Perhaps it’s the inability to refrain from cracking jokes about “meat” and “buns?” Either way, Burger King and Carl’s Jr. seem to think that when it comes to burgers, sex sells. Over the past two months, both burger chains have come out with new ads that seem to fetishize their respective patties.  Just this week Burger King released the below advertisement that seems to imply…    well, you get the picture.

But Burger King wasn’t first to enter the burger-sex biz. West Coast-based fast-food joint Carl’s Jr. initiated the trend when it took on Paris Hilton as a spokesperson in May of 2005, and followed up with Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi this past March.

Now Audrina Patridge, star of MTV’s The Hills, is the latest “celeb” to be taking a bite of a Carl’s Jr. Burger. By the looks of her body in that bikini, we can safely assume she didn’t eat the whole thing.
