5 Types of People You Come Across on Twitter

no thumb

Social media is annoyingly awesome. Apart from the networking, you get to see what people are really like inside their heads. A study from Rutgers University placed social media users into two categories: those who inform (informers), and those who post updates on their everyday lives (meformers). Amid the meformers and informers are a bunch of users who, if I had my way, would be banned for life from social media. Here are five annoying ass people you come across on Twitter. They’re even worse than the Facebook variety.

We’ve all had bosses from hell who, despite their roles, are unfit to be in a managerial position. Most people suffer through the bad times for a while before giving a meek two-weeks notice. The ballsy ones impersonate Scarface from Half Baked and give a big fuck you to everyone before walking out the door, like the Taco Bell employee who just had to let the rest of the staff know how he felt. Those people have given us enough entertainment for five epic job resignations. Click the jump to see five people with more balls than a horse.

The Campus Tycoon: 5 Types of College Jobs that Can Boost Your Resume

no thumb

One of my favorite college professors told me the average person works in seven different industries throughout his or her lifetime.  That’s not surprising when students take on odd jobs throughout the summer for spending money. I’ve only worked in two industries outside of writing, but one thing I found is that the skills in both industries were a huge resume booster when I was applying for internships and other jobs. There’s hardly a job you can have where you won’t learn a skill useful for the next job. I’ve compiled a list of five types of college jobs that can help boost your resume regardless of what industry you’re pursuing.

The 10 Most WTF Moments in Game of Thrones, So Far

game of thrones

Shit is starting to get real in the seven kingdoms of Westeros. The ninth episode last night proved to fans and non-fans alike just how crazy the show is willing to go, and how quickly anyone’s position can change in the game for the Iron Throne (Damn, Ned!). While looking at past episodes, I’ve noticed that some fucked up shit has happened in Game of Thrones. I’m not referring to Littlefinger and the City Watch betraying Ned, Sansa’s idiotic pining for Joffrey — the epitome of weak sauce. I’m talking about the shit that makes you wonder about George R.R. Martin’s imagination. Read more to see ten moments on Game of Thrones that makes us say WTF?!

5 Ways to Sext Incognito

no thumb

Remember when you and your boo were getting hot and heavy via text message, and you sent them a nude pic (with the understanding that you’d receive one – which you didn’t). Then the next day the whole school knew about that beauty mark next to your private parts? Yea, me neither, but apparently sexting is such a big deal that California passed a law that allowed schools to expel students caught sexting. Then there’s Weinergate, in which NY Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner attempted to send his peen print to a married congresswoman but really revealed it to the whole Twitterverse, and UFC mixed martial artist Tito Ortiz’s full frontal Twitter pic. Let’s not forget celebs like Miley Cyrus, Chris Brown, and Vanessa Hudgens, all of whom had Myspace-esque bathroom mirror pics leaked. Sexting is to current teens what AOL chatroom was to us 80s babies — trouble. In case you’re a sext-er, here are 5 ways to do it incognito.

no thumb

susan boyle ugly feet

You’re at the bar when you see a hot girl who looks like a cross between Megan Fox and Kim Kardashian. In the once over, you look at her feet. It’s not like you care whether she has on  stilettos or espadrilles; you’re just looking to look. You wish you hadn’t though, when you see that her feet looks like she’s been battling Spartans barefoot. Even worse, they look as though she’s been running barefoot since the age of the dinosaurs. A girl may be attractive, but hideous feet aren’t. I’ve scoured the Internet for the hottest chicks with the ugliest feet, some of which are worse than Susan Boyle’s horned sausages above. Read more to see what I mean.

Laptop Photographs Thief and Brings Him To Justice

no thumb

It sucks to be a stupid criminal. A California man stole an iMac and other items from San Francisco designer Josh Kaufman. Kaufman had previously installed Hidden, a theft-protection software, on his laptop. When Kaufman’s laptop was stolen, the software took screenshots and pictures of the thief whenever he used it. Kaufman took the pics to the Oakland police department, who swept his case to the side citing the lack of resources to help him, despite him telling the police exactly where the thief was located. In the mean time Kaufman created a blog called This Guy Has My Macbook for Internet users to help him receive his laptop. His idea worked and he generated so much Internet buzz that Oakland police took another look at the case and caught the thief. The thief ‘s website history showed middle eastern music videos, Facebook, and him changing Kaufman’s computer account information. He was smart enough to do that but dumb enough to get caught. Moral of the story: don’t steal because someone is always watching. Click below to see more hilarious pics of the thief using Kaufman’s laptop.

Urban Outfitters Stealing Indie Designs: Hipster on Hipster Crime

no thumb

urban outfitters shop

The little people can’t seem to get any shine. Urban Outfitters, your favorite one-stop hipster shop for all that is overpriced and grungy-looking, has been virtually castrated by Twitter users after indie jewelry designer Stevie Koerner blogged and tweeted about the company stealing her designs. The well-deserved public flogging not only let consumers know just how fucked up Urban Outfitters is to the little people, but it also let people know just how far back Urban has been stealing designs from independent designers. Shameful. Read more after the jump.
