When we think of music in the 2000’s we think about Britney Spears stealing the stage, and the Black Eyed Peas producing hit after hit. However the musician who had his songs played on the radio the most may surprise you.

Tim McGraw, son of the late Phillies Pitcher Tug McGraw, and husband to country sensation Faith Hill, had his songs played the most on the radio in the 2000’s. McGraw has had his songs play almost 8 million times on radio stations across the country. McGraw has recorded such hits such as, “Something Like That,” “Don’t Take My Girl,” and he even was featured on a track with Nelly called “Over and Over.”

McGraw managed to pop out many new songs during the decade, which led to his top spot. The article featured on Yahoo only stated that McGraw was the top man on the list.

I think it would be safe to say, most people would agree that they are surprised to hear Tim McGraw is the most played artist of the 2000’s. If you are as stunned as I am, let us know what you think. Who do you think is the best artist of the 2000’s and should have beat out Tim McGraw?
