Always on top of their game, Fantasy Phenoms is locked in on the studs and duds for week 5’s NFL action. Best of luck to each of your squads in their fantasy duels tomorrow.
START: Hines Ward, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers (at Detroit)
Detroit’s feeble pass rush should leave Ben Roethlisberger ample time to routinely connect with his 33-year-old safety valve, who’s been unstoppable over the middle in his first four games. The Super Bowl XL MVP has been remarkably consistent, averaging his jersey number – 86 yards per game, but has failed to hit pay dirt. That should change this week versus a Lions’ defense that has given up a league high 12 touchdown passes. Start Hines with confidence.
SIT: Roy Williams, WR, Dallas Cowboys (at Kansas City)
Williams’ status is up in the air this week due to damaged cartilage he suffered in three of his ribs. There’s no reason to force the former Lion to play hurt with a very capable Sam Hurd ready to pick up where he left off in Week 4 as one of Tony Romo’s favorite targets. Some time off will maybe help the on-again, off-again Williams regroup and become a more reliable player. Keep him far from your starting lineup on Sunday.
