Everyone’s favorite pothead actor is back – but this time things are a little different. A far departure from his usual roles, Seth Rogen is now a superhero. The Green Hornet is actually Britt Reid, a debonair newspaper publisher who dons a mask and fedora by night in order to fight crime. He is accompanied by his Asian wheelman and sidekick, Kato.
Whether this movie is going to be good or not is still up to debate. Rogen and his writing partner Evan Goldberg (you might know him as the inspiration behind Michael Cera’s character in Superbad), put the screenplay for this movie together themselves. While both specialize in comedy, it could be interesting to see how they would handle something that is mostly action-adventure, aside from a few choice moments (shown in the trailer) where Rogen’s comedic style comes into play. It seems like we’ll be laughing at Britt Reid, and hopefully astounded by The Green Hornet’s fighting abilities. Check out the trailer after the jump.
