At 5 AM this morning, LivingSocial put a promotion on their site for this awesome deal. $9 buys two tickets!! So instead of sitting home and watching American Idol (no judging), you can take your girl or guy (step up ladies) to a movie for half the price (popcorn, soda, and jujubees not included).
As of 10:00, the deal has netted 100,000 purchases. LivingSocial has partnered with Fandango for this promotion, similarly to their deal with Amazon in January, where you spent $10 for a $20 coupon. The January deal got them 1,000,000 purchases before time expired, and judging by the buzz about this deal, it could reach similar numbers.
