NFL season is upon us. With less than 2 weeks to go till the Thursday night Vikings-Saints match up it’s time to bust out my Over/Under selections for regular season wins.

LOCK IT UP

Green Bay Packers over 9 ½: The Packers will be battle it out with the Saints and Colts for the title of the most explosive offense in the league. A favorable early season schedule – W1 @ Philly, W2 vs. Buffalo, W3 @ Chicago, W4 vs. Detroit, W5 @ Washington. Anything less than 4-1 in those games I would be shocked. Which means even if they slow down and go 6-5 in their last 11 games your still good.

Oakland Raiders over 5 ½: The silver and black have the good fortune of playing in a weak AFC West. I expect them to go 3-3 in the division, possibly 4-2. Then they have the even better fortune of getting to play the pathetic NFC West this season. That is a 2-2 record at worst. So at minimum between their divisional games and the NFC West the Raiders will have five wins and only need to win one game against the rest of their schedule.

Tennessee Titans over 8 ½: I absolutely love the Titans this year. The Vince Young/Chris Johnson combo will be the most exciting QB/RB combination to watch this year. The Titans catch a break getting to play the Steelers in Week 2 with no Big Ben and play the AFC West which is good for 3 wins. They can go 5-6 against the rest of the schedule and they still got you covered.

Jacksonville Jaguars under 7 ½: Jack Del Rio is on the hot seat and with the Jags starting off their season W1 vs. Denver, W2 @ SD, W3 vs. Philly, and W4 vs. Indy a 1-3 start will have this team check out.

Indianapolis Colts over 10 ½: The Indianapolis Colts have won 12 plus games ever year since 2003. With Peyton Manning still at the helm I don’t expect this to change even though the NFC South has improved with the Titans and Texans becoming better football teams. Colts go 4-2 in the division at worst and beat up on the out of division schedule.

STAY AWAY LIKE YOU WOULD FROM A GIRL WITH THE CLAP

New York Jets/New England Patriots/Miami Dolphins: The Jets and Patriots are set at 9 ½ and the Dolphins are at 8 ½. This is the best division in football. These teams are going to be the crap out of each other in division and half to play against the NFC North. The schedule for this trio is brutal. They are three of the better teams in the AFC, but I still wouldn’t be shocked if only one of them broke 9 wins and the other two finished between 7-9 and 9-7.

San Diego Chargers 10 ½: I can’t ignore the fact Vincent Jackson and Marcus McNeil, two of the Chargers five most important offensive players aren’t playing. As much as I love rookie RB Ryan Matthews, TE Antonio Gates, RB Darren Sproles, and QB Phillip Rivers, 11 wins missing two players of that caliber is a lot to ask
