Riots Go Down at Electric Daisy Carnival Movie Premiere – That’s LA For You

The premiere of the Electric Daisy Carnival Experience went down last night but not without a hitch. The movie which chronicles the actual Electric Daisy Carnival which happened in Las Vegas just a couple of months ago was shown last night to a group of fans who decided to show their appreciation by frickin up everything. The LAPD tried unsuccessfully to shut everything down within a couple of hours but the E’d up crowd, normally just happy to be alive, responded by going absolute apestuff.

Kaskade, the DJ who put together the movie and hosted the event tried desperately to keep everyone under control. Using his Twitter, he repeatedly asked fans to calm down which quickly turned into outright demands for “Everyone to go home.” During the riots, Ravers attempted to fight cops and even lit a cop car on fire. Madness.

The movie premiered, but due to the “party” outside, only half of the 650 people invited to the premier were able to get in the door. Oh well. The movie will be released in select theaters on August 4th, and soon after be released on DVD. We already saw all the chaos of Electric Daisy first hand, but now that we know they get down like this, we’re gonna have to see it on the Silver Screen too. Kinda wish we were there last night, but oh well, you can’t make it to every riot.

Thanks to Rolling Stone for the scoop.
