If it wasn’t enough that Indiana gets to host Little 500 every year and The Blitz & Beatz tour, on October 29th Bounce Music Festival will bring DJ Legend, Avicii to show the Hoosiers a show they will never forget. Indiana is merely the first stop on a tour that looks to hit 10 cities over the next 6 months with Avicii as the headliner along with a slew of un-named artists. If you live in the Midwest and are looking for a sick party, look no further.
Jeez, what’s with all these music documentaries today? First RE:GENERATION, now this: a film that documents the whole of Ultra Music Festival 2011. For those who don’t know, Ultra ran its first 3-day festival this year, and it sold out plus some. It was a crazy, crazy event and people are already getting pumped for next year’s. July 13, which is today, IDENTITY—the first-ever touring electronic ONLY music festival that will visit major outdoor amphitheatres throughout North America in August and September—is going “20 for 20.” Courtesy of Skullcandy, IDENTITY’s presenter, $20 general admission tickets will be made available for only 20 hours for any one of the IDENTITY Festival shows.
After a year on hiatus, Rothbury Festival is back with a new name and more ridiculous acts than ever. What used to be Rothbury is now Electric Forest, a 4 day music festival held in Michigan. So this is to any Michigan socialites out there: how are you celebrating your July 4th?
I remember the night vividly. I was in Hartford, CT at a Dave show (last year) when I heard the rumors: Dave Matthews Band will be taking off from touring for a year, a year which also marks the bands 20th anniversary. I said to a good friend of mine who had traveled up to Hartford with me “I can’t wait to see what kind of spectacle they pull off in 2011.”
