Tessa Presents: Groovebug and Two More Apps of the Week

Groovebug

Welcome back to our weekly Apps of the Week column! I’ve spent a lot of time “preparing for this post” (read: procrastinating until the last minute) and I think I’ve found a few good apps that everyone should have. This article is sponsored by the Tessa: a kick-ass customizable iPad stand that helps adjust to your lifestyle. So let’s get to it.

Groovebug

So if you love music, and you love knowing about the music that you like, Groovebug is the app for you. It looks at your music library and it puts together a bunch of information about the music that you like, and it even gives you videos and other songs that you might not have from your favorite artists. It’ll also help you find new music by suggesting artists to you. Basically, this is a must-have for any music-fanatic with an iPad. Like if I gave a crap about Kelly Clarkson, this would be awesome:

Top 3 artists you hope your girlfriend doesn’t see when she uses your Groovebug:

  1. Kelly Clarkson
  2. Celine Dion
  3. Right Said Fred

If you’re tired of reading about Justin Bieber’s sex life, you might want to grab this App. I mean, unless Justin Bieber is in your music collection. Which he shouldn’t be. Delete it now, please.

Flick Golf Extreme! HD

Okay, so Golf is one of my least favorite sports, but just look at this App Icon! That Golf ball is on FIRE! And an American Flag! And a city skyline! This looks like it could be the coolest app ever made, and it’s called Extreme Flick Golf Extreme! HD. Alas, we’re back to the fact that its golf, and it becomes just a pretty fun game to play. Pretend you’re Tiger Woods, except you only need to use one finger to get a hole in one. At least that’s what I would do if I were bored.

Top 3 things that should be made more extreme:

  1. French Operas
  2. The Bachelor
  3. Reruns of Bob Ross’s Painting Show

So let me recap this app for you: America. Fire Golf Ball. Exclamation point. So if you love America, you’ll buy this App.

Pimp Your Screen

If you’re a fan of Xzibit like I am, then you want to pimp your life. So here’s the Pimp Your Screen app to help you… well…pimp your screen. Well, maybe they won’t judge you based on your home screen, but if you find the kind of girl that is that picky, then she’ll definitely see a winner in you. You can pimp out some app shelves, a lock screen, and tons of other things to make your screen all nice. And if you play your cards right, you could end up looking like this guy:

Top 3 things that I wish were as customizable as this app:

  1. Apple computers
  2. Free Website Design Programs
  3. My schedule for the spring semester

So if you wake up in the morning and grab your bedazzled cane of yours, then you might want to Pimp Your Screen with this app.
