The Beatles Have Landed…on Apple iTunes

A decades-old feud has finally come to an end with the entire Beatles catalog now being available on iTunes for purchase.

The Beatles and Apple have been in a bitter dispute since 1978, when The Beatles asserted that the computer manufacturer infringed on their trademark Apple Records and Apple Corps Ltd. The two companies settled in 2007.

Just this morning all 13 remastered albums arrived on the website, along with a wonderful picture advertising the landmark compromise and the arrival of the “fab four” (I hate that nickname…when did we decide they were from “Queer Eye For the Straight Guy”?). Finally we can all relax: our favorite rock band and electronics manufacturer have come to an agreement!

This agreement could have been useful 7 years ago, when buying songs off of iTunes was a huge deal. But if you don’t already have the whole The Beatles discography from elsewhere, then maybe it’s time to head on over to your Apple iTunes store and buy each album for $12.99, a single song for $1.29, or the whole catalog for $149.
