The Legend Lives On: The 30th Anniversary of Bob Marley’s Death

bob-marley

30 years ago to the day, Jamaican musician and cultural legend Nesta Robert “Bob” Marley passed away from cancer. He was 36-years-old. His life was an adventure filled with music, laughter, friendship, and of course lots of spliffs. He lives on today through his music: A collection of timeless reggae classics with messages that appeal to every generation. He believed in peace and love, and people coming together to celebrate the magic of human existence. More than anything, he is a legendary figure who reminds us not to take life too seriously: Relax and enjoy the simple things that we normally take for granted. So today, do as Tuff Gong would want you to do – Throw on a playlist of your favorite Marley songs, spark up some herb, lay back in the sunshine, and celebrate the wonder of life with your closest friends. If you’re itching for a little video, we’ve embedded a great live version of “Stir It Up” after the jump. One love.
