I know you think Apple has magical little elves in their factories that have access to materials only found in space, and everything they make is the best thing to ever happen to the human race. Well, those little elves are actually 8-year old children in Beijing and they might be the best at computers, but when it comes to sound, you have to go out of the box and check out The Yamaha PDX-11.
The first thing that draws me to this awesome Dock/Speaker hybrid is the little metal handle sticking out of the top. What good is it having an iPod if you have to lug a big black box wherever you want to listen to it. The Yamaha is meant to be lugged from your bedroom into your living room, to your bathroom, to your girl’s house, to the party down the street. You may not be throwing the party, but the dude that brings the tunes is the dude who runs the show.
The cost? A cool $100. Completely reasonable for your entire music library, bumping and blaring wherever you need it too. And how bout the look? Gotta love the minimalism and simplicity in something looking like exactly what it is; in essence, a giant speaker with your iPhone conducting the noise. What more do you need?
