Tiesto Teams Up With Intel and HP for Live Streaming Event on Twitter

Also, YouTube and Twitter are involved. This is the strangest motley crew of brands I’ve ever seen assembled, but I guess it goes without saying that everyone wants a piece of Tiesto’s action. The world famous club DJ is prepping for the show, to be live streamed on the HP and Intel Twitter pages this Wednesday, January 11th at 10:00 PM PST.

The artist’s 90-minute long set is taking place during the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas (at the nightclub XS at Encore), and will kick off a 10-epsiode web series called “In The Booth” – a behind-the-scenes look into Tiesto’s life and his impact on the electronic dance movement, produced by Believe Entertainment Group and launching Tuesday, January 17th on YouTube.

But for HP, Intel, and host Twitter, this is a chance for something much larger. The two companies are part of a select few invited to try out Twitter’s new Facebook-style brand pages, which include the ability to host video. It will be the first event of its type on the chaotic, nonsensical social network known as Twitter. The two pages will draw tons of traffic – Twitter users eager to watch the DJ spin live and interact with each other via the #TiestoLive hash tag.
