University Bans Unique Motorized Couch

College students are an inventive bunch, but usually we’re inventing something to help us have a good time. From Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook to the guys over at Fratmusic.com (returning this fall!).  Now I’m a big fan of relaxing on the couch on a Sunday afternoon, but what if that couch could take me for a ride around campus?

Two Brigham Young University students have made the dreams of college students around the world a reality. So what is their favorite thing to do on their motorized couch? Go through the Wendy’s drive- thru of course.

Using a motor from an old wheelchair, the students made their idea come to life. After testing it out, they drove their couch around the university’s campus, prompting the school to ban their invention.

I want to give these guys a high five, because honestly what would make you think to add a motor to a couch? It just goes to show you that creativity is kind of silenced by university officials… but my opinion of that is just another story.

Here’s a short video of the couch in action… I wonder if my school would ban that, probably not time to start building!
