All college students have their ideas of how to party the semester to a close in just the right way. However, a real university that is dedicated to its students will help bring students together in the celebration process.

University of Miami is one of these schools. Following a tradition started not too long ago, tomorrow night Canes Night Live will be held on campus. Just like any other carnival this will be complete with funnel cakes, music, and an Orbitron, as well as many other rides. Being free, CNL couldn’t appeal any better to college students.

“The Green” as students have come to call it, is a large grassy section right outside the Otto G. Richter Library that is usually utilized as a study spot. Friday, however, The Green will be packed with students reliving their childhood. Senior and treasurer of CNL, Amanda Modestill, told the campus newspaper, The Hurricane, about the turnout she anticipates.

“Last year we had over 1,000 people and this year we hope top that,” she said. “This year looks to be one of the best carnivals ever.”

Students can expect many booths and individual activities to participate in thanks to student groups and organizations. There will also be a number of carnival-style attractions, such as a coconut tree climb, a bungee run and a balloon water race.
