The Burlap Beach Killer At Large On Long Island

Long Island Serial Killer

Hide your kids, hide your wife, and hide your husband – because the Burlap Beach Killer is on the loose on Long Island. Suffolk County police stumbled upon a tragic scene on Saturday along Ocean Parkway when they uncovered skeletal remains, as well as three intact bodies two days later.

Long Island Cedar Beach Serial Killer

What began as a search for a prostitute who had gone missing in May, became a full-on investigation as police found four bodies dumped along the road in thick brush. Though the bodies are currently impossible to identify due to their various levels of decay, police have theorized they can probably be traced back to one source – a serial killer. Each body was found only 500 yards from each other, two of which were stored in burlap sacks (hence the name I coined for this potential serial killer).

Two of the bodies are speculated to be women while the other two need to be analyzed further to determine their sex. Clearly, the bodies’ identities have not been discovered, nor have their causes of death, though it is apparent they were killed elsewhere and dumped along Cedar Beach at various times along an 18-month period.

The bodies were found about three miles from where the missing woman was last seen on May 1. However, Suffolk County Police Commissioner Richard Dormer says there is no indication she is one of the four bodies.

According to USA Today, Dormer said, “We could have a serial killer.”

Police officers returned to the scene today with a cadever dog to continue to investigate, but it would seem the potential Burlap Beach Killer is still at large.
