It’s a big day for Aziz Ansari. His new movie with Jesse Eisenberg 30 Minutes or Less came out, and he’s got a sweet little cameo in Kanye and Jay-Z‘s music video for “Otis.” So we figured, what the hell, let’s give the little hilarious bastard an article featuring some of his best moments thus far. Check ’em.
Randy is without a doubt the funniest character Aziz has ever played…ever. It began with a minor role in the incredibly mediocre Judd Apatow flick Funny People. They should’ve really just scraped the original script and made an entire movie about the exploits of Randy. But they did the next best thing: gave him a bunch of small skits on Funny or Die that completely outshined the movie.
Aziz Ansari Adopts a Kid
I think this one is pretty self-explanatory.
Aziz’s role on Flight of the Conchords was undeniably hilarious. Easily made the episode about racism the best of the entire first season. In it, he’s the owner of a fruit stand that refuses to sell his fruit to dirty New Zealanders. Turns out he’s mistaken. You’ll see.
Ciroc Vodka Smooth Off
Diddy and Aziz together? Fighting for the position of Smoothest Man of the Year? That’s just crazy talk.
Ansari plays Tom Haverford on Parks and Recreation, a blatant attempt to capitalize on the popularity of The Office. it’s okay though, because Tom is easily funnier than most of the characters on The Office, and would be able to hold this show up all by himself if everyone else died in a tragic plane crash. Just sayin’.
Stand Up – Sheets
There’s so much hilarious Aziz Ansari standup that it’s hard to pick just one short clip to post, but this one stuck out as one of the more memorable bits he’s done.
This entire movie was horribly disappointing, but as always, Aziz was there to salvage what little actual comedy there was with this fantastic scene. The hatred between him and Seth Rogen is so real I can almost taste it…and it tastes remarkably like Chic-fil-A.
It took me a while to find it, but I finally got a hold of the opening skit from when Aziz hosted the MTV Movie Awards. In it, he spoofs the shit out of Precious. If you missed this one, you’re an asshole. Watch it.
The Dark Knight Deleted Scene
Okay, so it’s obviously not a real deleted scene, but the heading got your attention, did it not? And it’s definitely a question I always wondered about – what happens to all those people whose cars get destroyed by the recklessness of Batman? Now you know.
Every single skit from Human Giant is pure gold. Rob Huebel, Paul Scheer, and Aziz just have the most awkward chemistry ever. It’s hard to choose one sketch out of hundreds of amazing ones, but I think the “Escalating Interview” shows how amazing these three comedians are when you put them together.
