Last week in Famitsu magazine, Final Fantasy director Tetsuya Nomura revealed new information surrounding the long awaited FFvXIII as well as a few screen shots of the game. FFvXIII was revealed as E3 2006 and lots of mystery has surrounded this hyped up title that is exclusive to the PS3. We know that this is a Action/RPG and not a typical Final Fantasy turn based affair. Here is what was revealed in Famitsu…

• One of the cities in the game is modeled after Shinjuku

• The game uses real physics calculation for cloud effects

• The game has an open world environment, you can go anywhere with the exception for the mountain areas

• The battles will be seamless, but except some loading when you enter certain large areas

• The objects you found in the field are fully destructible

• The quality of the combat scene is so high that you won’t believe it when you see it the first time

All screen shots in the magazine are in real time, running on PS3 hardware.

Stay tuned to the Campus Gamer for future updates to what looks so far an amazing looking title.
