The Playoff Dunks of 2011: Kevin Durant vs. Taj Gibson

Although my Knicks didn’t do much damage this year, or any damage at all for that matter, these NBA playoffs have still been extremely enjoyable. My second favorite team has been anybody who plays the Heat. It’s an odd feeling for a Knick fan to be rooting for the Celtics after they destroyed us in the 1st round, and they’re from Boston which makes it that much harder to swallow. My 90’s self would kick my present ass for seeing me root for the Chicago Bulls. All in all, this just represents my hatred for the Heat. So seeing Taj Gibson slam dunk and posterize Miami Heat’s Dwayne Wade was a refreshing site to see. I didn’t think it would be possible to top that dunk. Then last night, freak of nature Kevin Durant, who impresses me more every second I watch him, delivered an insane facial on Brendan Haywood. His head was literally above the rim. The two photos above are awesome photo representations of these spectacular dunks and I am curious whose dunk people think is better. I might be biased (I am biased) but I am going with the two-handed special by Taj as my winner. Vote below…
